During Lawrence’s stint with Def Comedy Jam, he appeared in his own hit series, "Martin." The show ran from 1992 to 1997 and found huge audiences and great success. "Martin" was the flagship of FOX's Thursday night line-up. When "Martin" concluded its last season, Lawrence found ample work in comedic films. He starred as the second lead opposite actors including Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, and Tim Robbins. Many of his films were blockbusters at the box office, including, "Boomerang," "Bad Boys," "Bad Boys 2," "Life," and "Big Momma's House."
"Long Beach is the perfect city to host comedic genius, Martin Lawrence," said Dan Spellens, Director of Theaters & Entertainment for the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. "We are pleased to welcome him to the Terrace Theater," he concluded.
