Our first pairing was a nice almond champagne with dried cranberries, cashews and almonds. This was followed with a luscious pinot noir, coupled with humus and pita bread. The third course was comprised of a big Cabernet Sauvignon with a sinfully rich spread made of pesto, pine nuts, sun-dried tomatoes, cream cheese and provolone cheese. This tantalizing blend of flavors and textures was nothing short of amazing. Our last course was a smooth port served with chocolate truffles and raspberry sauce.
Our cruise host clearly had mastered the art of being there to refill our glasses and then disappearing quietly below deck. There is a bell available if you need something, but chances are, you won't. You already have the moon, the water, the wine and the ambiance...what else is there?

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a musician, vocalist, and recording artist who has toured extensively in Pakistan, India, and throughout the world. Born into a family of musicians, he is primarily a singer of qawwali, a family tradition for centuries. Qawwali is the vibrant musical poetry of Southern Pakistani and Indian Sufism inspired by the infusion of Persian and Indian musical traditions. This culture of music stems from 700 years ago, and its central themes expressed in the Urdu and Punjabi languages are about love and devotion.

Norman Brown is a versatile urban artist gifted as both an instrumentalist and vocalist. Brown’s 2002 Just Chillin' won a Grammy in the prestigious "Best Pop Instrumental" Category. This innovative guitarist has been front and center in the fast evolving fusion of pop, R&B and jazz that has captured the imagination of true music aficionados across the country and around the world.
With a unique musical perspective and intimate voice, singer/songwriter Brenda Russell proves that talent only deepens with time. Russell is composer of the classics "Get Here," "If Only For One Night," and the Grammy-nominated "Piano In The Dark." Her songwriting prowess and chameleon-like ability to shift between musical genres trumpeted ovations in 2005 with her co-writing of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Color Purple.
Phil Perry first came to the attention of music fans as the lead singer of the Montclairs, with "Dreamin’s Out of Season" in 1970. After moving to Los Angeles in 1979 Perry eventually became one of the most sought-after back-up vocalists in the area collaborating with artists such as Barbara Streisand, Dave Koz, and Bill Withers. Presently, Perry is writing and recording a duo project with the Tony Award-winning songstress, Melba Moore, due to be released before the end of 2009.

Slayer and Megadeth Rescheduled for August 30, 2010 |

Slayer and Megadeth are thrilled to announce the newly confirmed routing for the "American Carnage" North American Tour. They will be playing the Long Beach Arena Monday, August 30, 2010. Testament will be Special Guest. Tickets purchased for the "American Carnage" shows when they first went on sale late last year will be honored for these rescheduled dates. The "American Carnage Tour", originally scheduled to take place in January and February, had to be put on hold due to Slayer's vocalist/bassist, Tom Araya's ongoing, minimally-invasive treatments for what was diagnosed as a Cervical Radiculopathy, an occupational hazard for the rocker who is known for aggressively swinging his long mane of hair while performing. Right after the first of the year, Araya made the difficult decision to undergo a surgical procedure, called an Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion, a relatively routine practice with an excellent recovery rate. That surgery took place early last week.

Renowned comedian Martin Lawrence is bringing laughter and his stand-up routine to The Long Beach Terrace Theatre on Friday, February 19th. The concert is a presentation of Live Nation.
An actor, comedian, director, and producer, Lawrence came to fame in the 1990s, first establishing a Hollywood career as a leading man. Lawrence launched his career by competing on the popular 90s show, "Star Search," which led to his first acting gig as Maurice on the sitcom, "What's Happening Now." Many consider Lawrence’s breakthrough role was playing Cee in the Spike Lee film, "Do the Right Thing." The role got him noticed by entertainment mogul, Russell Simmons, who selected him to host the series "Def Comedy Jam" on HBO.

Liz Feldman exited the writing staff of NBC’s "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2008 after receiving four Emmy awards. In 2009, Feldman developed a half-hour script with Touchstone Television and wrote for Ellen DeGeneres when she hosted the Oscars. She finished the second series of "This Just Out" in July 2009 and has been working on a new series on the website Funny or Die, entitled "Shack Talk." Feldman also recently released her short film, "My First Time Driving," and can currently be seen in her recurring role on NBC's "The Jay Leno Show" as one of Jay's comedy correspondents.
